The live camera preview only appears when Monitoring is turned on. The app is designed to be as efficient and lightweight as possible so it only activates the camera when it’s actively looking for visual motion or when a recording has been triggered.
Here are the most common reasons and how to fix them:
- Make sure you have entered the correct email address in the app.
- You will receive an email notification every time a recording is triggered, but no more than once every 5 minutes to avoid spam.
- Check your Junk or Spam folder — the email may have been filtered there.
- If you previously accidentally clicked the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of a notification email, you will no longer receive any alerts to that address. Click the link again to re-subscribe.
Yes. While Monitoring is active, you’ll see a Dim button at the top. Tap it to fade the screen to black and save battery. It will also automatically dim the screen shortly after the device stands still.
No, the app must stay open and in the foreground to monitor. This is how camera apps work by design. However, you can protect it easily — see the next question.
Even if someone grabs your phone, any recordings in progress will still be safely uploaded to iCloud or Google Drive (if you enabled backup).
For extra protection, turn on Guided Access in iPhone Settings (under Accessibility). This locks the phone to just your app so no one can close it or change settings.
You’ll receive an email alert when the battery drops below 20% (if you entered your email in the app). Once the battery is completely dead, of course, monitoring stops.
We recommend using a power bank or keeping the phone plugged in if you plan to monitor for long periods.
You’ll get an email each time motion is detected, but no more than one alert every 5 minutes. All recordings are still saved normally (and backed up to the cloud if enabled).
No. This app was designed to work with just one iPhone. You can view recordings directly on the same phone, or enable cloud backup to watch them on Google Drive or iCloud from any device. You can also start a Live Stream to watch the camera feed in real time from any computer or phone using your secret URL.
Yes — this is one of the main reasons the app was built. Just enable “Trigger by device movement”, start Monitoring, and place your phone under the seat or in a secure spot. If anyone lifts, moves, or tampers with the bike, you’ll get an instant email alert and a recording.

Local recordings are kept for a full 14 days by default (even for free users). If your phone is running low on storage, the oldest recordings are automatically deleted first to free up space. We recommend keeping at least 400 MB of free storage for the app to work smoothly.
Recordings you back up to iCloud or Google Drive are also kept for 14 days (or up to 1 GB in iCloud to avoid using all your storage).

Your device will not overheat under normal ambient temperatures. Just make sure not to leave your iPhone exposed to direct sunlight. You will automatically receive an email alert if your device gets critically hot.
